Your input needed

Ted would like the input of North Lawrence residents regarding the coronavirus and the return of students to the University this fall.

What do residents think the city and the county should do to protect Lawrence residents from possible exposure?

There is a new, unified command of the city, county and University, but it does not include the neighborhoods. We don’t know right now what the University plans to do to test, isolate, and control students who may be virus-positive.

Ted will be taking your ideas and talking to officials at the city and county level on behalf of residents in North Lawrence as well as working with the neighborhood association leaders in other neighborhoods.

Please email pboyle@sunflower.com and/or nliacoordinator@gmail.com for quickest response. Thank you!

North Lawrence Clean-up: Oct. 13

This Fall’s North Lawrence Clean-up will be:

Tuesday, October 13.

Please place items you wish to discard at your regular trash pick up site by 7:00 a.m.  Remove all nails from boards and place broken glass in suitable containers and mark it to prevent injuries.  Old tires will also be picked up.

Also, bring limbs to the parking lot behind Centenary United Methodist Church at 4th & Elm—we will generate mulch from limbs that will be available to residents behind Ted’s house at 310 Elm Street.
